Connectlocal event Bluepoint Antwerp - Datto

by | May 30, 2024

May 23, we traveled to Antwerp to host the second edition of Connectlocal this year for our client Datto. An event that is part of the event calendar we develop and produce for them. The purpose of this event calendar, and especially the specific events is to transfer new knowledge within the IT profession, inspire their MSPs and generate sales.

After we produced the 1st edition of 2024 in February in Leusden, it was time to produce the 2nd edition. To also inspire the Belgian MSPs we go to Belgium twice a year together with the client, so this time it was time for Antwerp. We found the nice Bluepoint where we immediately felt it fit the goals that were given with us from the client; a plenary session, inspiration, and different spaces. After a site visit we knew for sure, this was the perfect location for this event. The production continued over the past few months and so we prepared the catering, styling, and plenary session.

Then the day finally arrived and we left for Antwerp with a packed box truck full of event materials. With this we also took care of the transport of all materials stored at our warehouse. Once we arrived, we started building up all the materials so that the location was completely styled in the client's brand and branding. Our event manager, along with technology, made sure that all powerpoints worked and that everything was set up correctly.

By early afternoon, the first guests were already arriving for two user groups while enjoying a delicious lunch. The rest of the guests then trickled in, and then the event really began. The event consisted of a three-part plenary session punctuated by two breaks. Due to the patio and the nice weather, people enjoyed and networked during the breaks. During the plenary sessions, keynotes were given by product owners within the company, sponsors came to speak, and most importantly a lot of knowledge and inspiration was shared. After the session, the BBQ was already on and the buffet was ready, so there was plenty to eat. During the meal there was more than enough time and space to network and generate sales.
